July is here which means the peak of the summer. The heat is on, and sometimes it can get to be a bit too much. One of my favorite ways to cool off is with a glass of classic, ice-cold lemonade. Here is one of my favorite recipes for a classic lemonade and one with a twist to help you cool off this summer too.
Classic Old-Fashioned Lemonade
Ingredients
- 6 lemons
- 6 cups of water
- 1 cup of sugar
- Ice
Directions
- Juice all of the lemons to make 1 cup of juice.
- Add the sugar to the lemon juice and stir until completely dissolved
- Add the water and ice, stir to combine
Mint Lemonade
Ingredients
- 4 large lemons, washed and cut into slices, seeds removed
- 2 cups of ice
- 2 cups of water
- 1 bunch of mint leaves, stems removed
- 1 cup of sugar
Directions
- Add all of the ingredients into a blender. Cover and blend at high speed until desired consistency.
- Pour through a mesh strainer and serve cold.
